Peanut Butter Brownies #3


1 package (17 1/2 ounces) peanut butter cookie mix (Betty Crocker)
1/2 cup baking cocoa
2/3 cup chocolate syrup
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 egg
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or peanuts

Frosting:
2 cups plus 2 Tbsp powdered sugar
1/2 cup chocolate syrup
1/4 baking cocoa
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/2 tsp vanilla

In a mixing bowl, combine cookie mix and cocoa.
Add chocolate syrup, butter and egg; beat until combined.
Stir in nuts.
Spread into a greased 13x9x2" baking pan.
bake at 350 degrees for 28-32 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
Cool on a wire rack.
Meanwhile, combine the frosting ingredients in a bowl;  stir until smooth.
Spread over brownies.
Cut into squares.
