Isaacs' Home Recipes Main Dessert Recipes Jiff Peanut Butter Cookies
1 cup packed brown sugar 3/4 cup Jiff peanut butter 1/2 cup shortening 1 egg 1 1/2 cups flour 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream together brown sugar, Jiff, and shortening; beat in egg. Stir together flour, baking soda, and slat; add to creamed mixture. Beat till well mixed. Shape into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten in a criss-cross pattern with tines of a fork. (Dip for in water if necessary to prevent sticking - I use sugar) Bake in 375 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes or till lightly browned.
