Hershey's Buckeyes


3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
1 1/3 cup Reeses crunch peanut butter
3 cups powdered sugar
2 cups (12 ounce package) Hershey’s semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 Tbsp shortening (do not use butter, margarine or oil)

Beat butter and peanut butter in large bowl until blended.
Gradually add powdered sugar, beating until well blended.
Cover; refrigerate until firm enough to shape, about 30 minutes.
Shape into 1” balls.
Cover; refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour.
Place chocolate chips and shortening in medium microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave at HIGH 1 1/2 minutes; stir.
If necessary, microwae at HIGH an additional 15 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, just until chips are melted when stirred.
Dip each ball into chocolate mixture, coating 3/4 of ball. 
Place on wax paper, uncoated side up.
Let stand until chocolate hardens.
Store, covered, in refrigerator.
